We were recently hired by one such educational department The GRETB Galway and Roscommon Education and Training Board We offer an extensive range of education and training services across our many locations in Galway and Roscommon including, Primary Education, Post Primary Education, Further Education and Training, Outdoor Education and Youth Services. One of their most recent events was a graduation ceremony for Arboriculture.

Yes I asked myself the same question, Arboriculture is the science and practice of caring for trees and other perennial plants. As an arboriculture apprentice, graduates learn how to plant, prune, fertilize, and protect trees from pests and diseases. Students also learn how to safely remove trees when necessary, it turns out that this is a two year apprenticeship with great career prospects for those with the love of the outdoors.

This recent graduation ceremony was the first of its kind in Ireland and the graduates were the first confirmed Arboriculturists a great distinction to obtain as I sure there will be many more graduates to come from this in demand specialised course. 

The location for the photoshoot was Petersburg Outdoor Education and Training Centre an absolutely stunning location in Clonbur, Co. Galway. The ceremony was held outdoor in a marquee with the stunning location as a backdrop, Ideally suited with regards the training course that was being celebrated. There were some speaker shots captured, before the recipients received their graduation scrolls. There was also a ceremonial tree planting to mark the occasion, which was very apt considering the course involved. With these kind of events it’s very important to capture exactly what the client requires, once you have done this you need to give your client the unexpected something creative they will be amazed with. Playing it safe is easy but going above and beyond for you client leads to further work and referrals.
